Assisi-Spello
We suggest that you visit Assisi before starting.  Assisi is an important little town, famous for its “son” Saint Francis.  There are many really important churches, with famous frescoes painted during the middle age (1200-1300).
Easy walking tour for the first day, along the “Via degli Ulivi” (Olive Tree road). You will walk through olive trees, looking out over  the Umbrian valley for a spectacular view from Perugia to Spoleto. Spello is situated on the top of the hill at the southern end of Mount Subasio.  It boasts Roman origins, as demonstrated by the southern walls, Porta Consolare, Porta Venere, Porta Urbica, and the amphitheater. Spello is a typical medieval town with narrow winding streets, ogival arches, squares, towers, flights of stairs and  façades made with the typical Subasio pink limestone.
Free dinner and overnight in Spello.
Km 12, a difference in altitude of about  250m.
Accommodation  Hotel “Il cacciatore” (or similar)

2 Spello-Trevi  After breakfast we leave Spello, travelling towards Foligno following the “blue and yellow” signs . This a long path dedicated to Saint Francis and called “Via di Roma”, (from La Verna-Tuscany- to Roma). Foligno is one of the biggest towns in Umbria, with 50,000 inhabitants. The center is charming and the main square is a perfect place to take a coffee. The tour continues towards Trevi, passing through little villages and crossing natural areas.
Free dinner and overnight in Trevi.
Km 18, a difference in altitude of about  300m.
Accomodation  BeB “Palazzo Valenti”  (or similar)

3 Trevi-Campello
A really green day walking to the Poreta castle  and to Campello.  From Trevi you will travel along the old aqueduct on a scenic trail in the silence of nature. You will pass through the small town of Alvanischio,  going between the olive trees and “terraces” built with dry stone walls. You will arrive first at the little castle of Poreta and then, a little further along,  Campello a little village near the “Clitunno water spring”, an amazing natural area .
